Bill D. opened the meeting
Bill D. then turned the meeting over to Mark S. and there was a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer.
Ray H gave the treasurers report:
Beginning Balance $180.96
Contributions $184.96
Payables $191.65
Current Balance $174.27
Ray found a way to get a tax ID number. He will know more at the next meeting.
It was decided that the money collected at the District Meetings when the "hat" is passed will be split 50/50 with the host groups.
Barb M. was asked to be the temporary Secretary till one is decided on in Oct.
There was discussion on changing the greeting on the phone service. It was decided to wait until the new directories are available.
New Meetings:
"Twelve Steps to Serenity" meets at 6:00 PM Sat.
at the Church of the Nazarene in Durand
There is a new womens group meeting to be held at 7:00 PM
on Mondays at St John Church of Christ in Owosso
Bill D. announced that the fliers for the workshop on Oct 4 are available
Bill D. asked for any old business.
The qualifications for DCM was discussed.
Bill asked for nominations for DCM for the next two years.
Bonnie nominated Bill T. for SW corner of the district
Ron C nominated Mark S. Mark said he will if someone takes over
as GSR for the Lennon Big Book Group
Jerry M nominated Roger C. Roger declined stating
he would like to
see some new faces.
Roger would like to nominate Keith but would like to discuss it
with him first.
Nominations were taken for Chairperson for District 10. Roger nominated Mark S.
Mark accepted. Nominations closed, Mark is new Chairperson.
Marks first order of business is to take over workshop.
Ray H. says there will be a meeting on Sept 29 for the workshop setup at St John Church of Christ at 6:00 PM.
The next District meeting will be held Oct 2 at 8:30 PM in Chapin
